How to order an item from me

If anyone would like to order an item that I've made, or would like to place an order for a custom hat, etc.....please visit my Facebook page. All items in my albums are available, or I can make them in your choice of colors. Just leave a comment on the item you are interested in. I will ship anywhere within the US, or if you live in my area, we can arrange a place to meet.

I have a nice assortment of hats, headbands, hair clips dishcloths, pot holders, dish scrubbers and cat toys available.

As of now, I don't have an Etsy store, but do plan on opening one up in the future and will post a link to it here when I do.

Also, if you have any questions you can either leave a comment below or email me at jackiereini@gmail.com

Hats in progress

I've been busy for the past couple weeks filling orders for hats. I think I've done about 8 so far.

Right now I'm working on an order for 2 hats, one with Miami Dolphin colors (turquoise, orange and white) and the other with Minnesota Viking colors (Purple & gold). I have the Viking one done, and just need to go out and get another skein of Turqua to finish the other.

I recently bought some of Red Hearts Team Spirit yarn, thinking it would be nice to use to make hats. I have to say I really hate it. It's very scratchy, and I don't like how the colors change....it doesn't stripe well, and I tried about 4 or 5 different things with it. The only project that I can see it working for is to make the Artfully Simple Infinity Scarf. Here is one that I made a while back using Lion Brand Vanna's Choice Prints in the color Autumn:
I absolutely LOVE that pattern, and it looks awesome with basically any type of yarn. When I'm caught up with orders, I'm going to use up the 2 skeins I bought and make a couple scarves with it.

There are four different patterns I've been using to make hats. The bobble stitch one (Urban Jungle Slouchy Beanie)....the first couple times I made it...oh I just hated it. It took me FOREVER to get one made, and the pattern calls for it to be made in two sections, then sewn together. I'm not a joiner. I've tried joining before and never can get it to look right. Which is one reason that, although I would love to make one, I haven't tried EVER, to make a granny square blanket. Just the thought of having to join all of the squares stresses me out lol!

So I found a way to make the hat as one piece....by making the brim, joining the ends to make a circle, then single crocheting evenly around, and then starting on the bobbles.

Anyway, out of all the hats I've made....which one do you think has become the most popular? It is, or course, the one that I didn't like to make. But now, after I've made so many.....it really doesn't take a lot of time, and the bobbles are actually quite fun to make. And it's one of those patterns that you don't really have to do much counting.....so I can work on it while I'm watching a movie and don't have to worry about losing my stitch count. Here are a couple of them that I made recently:
